Membership Application Information and Form

Fill out the form below then either submit the form electronically by clicking the "Submit" button at the bottom or printing the form off and mailing it via U.S. Postal Service. Instructions on this are are below. IRS rules for our non-profit classification require that we maintain a membership balance of 75% active and past military, and no more than 25% non-military.

Membership fees are as follow:

Annual Memberships For Non-Active Duty Personnel: $50.00

Life Memberships For Non-Active Duty Personnel:

New membership applicants and annual members in good standing may apply for life membership using the criteria below.

Age 54 and under: $200.00 (Lump sum or two [2] payments of $66.67 each and one payment of $66.66)

Age 55-64: $150.00 (Lump sum or three [3] payments of $50.00 each

Age 65 & over: $100.00 (Lump sum or two [2] payments of $33.34 each and one payment of $33.32)

Fees for non-active duty life memberships may be paid in three [3] installments over a period not to exceed nine [9] consecutive months. It is the responsibility of the applicant to schedule their multiple payments. If the applicant fails to pay the full life membership amount defined above, amounts paid and received towards life membership will be converted and credited as annual membership dues.

Annual Memberships For Active Duty Personnel:

E-1 through E-5: $5.00 per year
SNCO and Officer: $10.00 per year

Life Memberships For Active Duty Personnel:

All personnel: $175.00 (Lump sum or two [2] payments of $58.34 each and one payment of $58.32)

Fees for active duty life memberships may be paid in three [3] installments over a period not to exceed nine [9] consecutive months. It is the responsibility of the applicant to schedule their multiple payments. If the applicant fails to pay the full life membership amount defined above, amounts paid and received towards life membership will be converted and credited as annual membership dues.

No information will be released to anyone outside the Association under any circumstances. Annual membership runs from July 1st through June 30th.

"Sea Horse Newsletter: The Sea Horse is sent free electronically to those members having internet access. Those member not having internet access; i.e., no computer; will get their Sea Horse free via the U.S. Postal Service in hard copy. Members having internet access, but desiring a hard copy in lieu of the electronic issue, will be required to pay $10 per year in addition to normal dues or as a life member.

"Dues Payment Reminders: The Secretary, with the concurrence of the Membership Chairman will send out annual, courtesy dues reminders prior to the due date for dues, but it will be the members' responsibility to schedule the payments for life membership, as discussed above. If you fail to complete payment of the life membership dues during the prescribed time period of nine months, any sums paid towards it will be converted and credited as annual membership dues.

Note: Your name, spouse’s name, telephone number, e-mail address and 2/4 unit will be published in the membership roster on the 2/4 web site. If you do not wish to have your phone and/or e-mail address published, please check below under each category not to be published. In this instance, if someone wishes to contact you, it will be done through the Membership Chairman. You will be contacted by the Membership Chairman for your authorization to give out any contact information.


Note: Please see the Dues Information above to help determine your desired membership category then see Payment Options below concerning how you prefer to pay the respective dues.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

1. Check or Money Order. Make a check or money order out to "2nd Bn, 4th Marines Association." On the Memo line, put "Dues." Either submit the completed membership application form via internet and mail the check / money order separately, or print the form off and mail it with the check / money order via U.S. Postal Service to:

2. Online Payment. Complete the membership application to include the payment information required by PayPal and submit it via internet. The PayPal processing fee has been factored into each amount presented. PayPal will provide you with a receipt online.

NOTE 1 - Time: Please give the Membership Chairman and Treasurer time to react to your submission. The Membership Chairman will be sending you a membership card once he has processed your application.

NOTE 2 - Newsletter: Remember to add in $10 to your membership fee if you wish to receive a hard copy of the Sea Horse newsletter. Otherwise, you will receive the newsletter electronically at no charge. Life members wishing to receive their newsletter in hard copy need to send $10 each year in June in order to keep receiving it.
